So we see it fit to give it a vote as what to do with presigned contract clauses (NTC/NMC's) should we keep them and live with it or remove them only on the players contracts that were signed before the start of HES. but you can still offer players NMc & NTC's but it will mean more if they are agreed upon by GM & PR.

I am fine with having the presigned clause's removed for sure gives me less to do on a day to day basis as Player Rep but if this is approved any contracts with clause's afterwards would be hard to waive but still possible that they will of course but reasoning will have to be really good.

Maybe once they're waived they're eliminated. Particularly NTCs... I mean, I'm fine with honoring most clauses cuz I usually trade for guys I want/need. I don't have any in Vegas I wouldn't honor unless I got a crazy offer, and the only ones I have in Brooklyn are Ladd & Filppula that are lame, but I'll be honoring Brown's.
The reason we're running into issues with them is because guys like Kings only purpose is to have ALL young players prospects with no inclination to honor any clauses until he reaches that goal, or guys like Preds going after top league players with clauses with mostly prospects. Sorry to single them out, but it's true.

The fact this is even under discussion is a joke.

The fact this is even under discussion is a joke. Listen, if you want realism, every single trade should be denied with them. They're there for that reason. Sims leagues have wayyyy more trades than real leagues. That's what makes them fun and helps activity. That's the entire point here. All they do is decrease the incentive to trade. If we want to get into real realism, the entire 2-way system is broken, we should have 7 round drafts, and probably shouldn't be allowed to manage two teams. But guess what, this is a game, which is meant to be fun. It's more fun having the ability to build your team the way you want.

I'll make sure to note that any time a rule doesn't go your way I should expect a poll. Right on man. Why even have clauses in this league to start with.

Yeah, honestly if you just keep taking notes, things will be way more party.

Sorry to single them out, but it's true. Just going after a couple players. I had lots of depth to do some trades so I could get the couple players I wanted for my first line. Yes, I do it all the time I hate the damn clauses though. I stay away from them if I can and I never negotiate one either!!

Any time I've run a league, I removed clauses all together. Pretty much no PR in the history of sims has been a hard ass with them because it would cause issues and frustration so they get pushed through. Why hinder trading in a sim league? It creates activity...activity = successful league. Cut them out entirely. They really are pointless in sims.

We've got 15 members, 8 have voted to remove them. Think this is final.
