Because hes the gm and he wants a upgrade at goalie i mean shit he obviously really wants to upgrade and its not your job to gm his team! What more can i say gm your own dang teams. If he wants a upgrade at goalie i want a defenseman I put in the 1st and we changed proly to ellis so this should be fine And fyi to the gm that said u should treat proly as a 88-90 rated player when hes not your wrong. I get it hes young and has upgrade but he also could get checked in the boards and break something and miss a season and would not go up so u never approach a league like this with that mind set of he should be great for years so im gonna offer more bc of that smdh! You trade for what your getting right now Phily wants a goalie bad, i need a defenseman, still giving the flyers a extra pick which will fit nicely with their own pick to get 2 young guys or trade up and get a better player and still gets a defenseman back their is def bothing wrong with this trade, nor is their collusion in any way so lets get real When a trade goes down in the nhl their is usually always a winner and loser, always fans that hate and love but what u done see is gary bettman come down and reject it!!!! Not to mention, I'm not sure if Cranker was here but if he was he'd agree with me on this, prospects have way more value because of the prospect upgrades. I've built two teams in other leagues based off of rebuilding and gathering a bunch of prospects that become top players. You may not agree but it's 100% that that's how the player should be valued, you look at their potential. Curious any cups rebuilding that way? And what are you saying? Philly is winning because he’s getting a pick or pens is winning? Make up your mind |

Pens win based on getting Ellis for basically shit all after fleecing the Isles to get Lehner in the first place, which shouldn't have happened anyway, then doing it again here. This is more fair, granted, but it's still a rape job because Cooker felt he was desperate for a goalie, when he really wasn't.
I guess it's just that I've never understood the foolish mentality of some folks that the only way they're satisfied with deals is when they're screwing over their trading partner most of the time. It's pretty lame. 😕

What Preds got here doesn't help in a rebuild. He got a UFA goalie and a meh player and a most likely late 1st for a top pairing dman. If I was him and I was rebuilding I would've went for a top defensive prospect. If you're on the other league, look at what I've done with Buffalo. Drafted Svechnikov and Turcotte, traded for Hughes, Werenski and Jones. Hughes and Turcotte are 93, Svech is a 92, Werenski is a 91 and Jones is an 88. Not to mention I have more young guys still coming up. |
