Only in season mode you can control all of the teams, all simmers use season mode. Honestly, I would just reboot, if we are going to go back to game 30 then we might as well just go back to the start. The beginning of a league is when it's most active anyways because people want to trade to get players they like and to trade away those they don't.

This is a master cluster fuck! Why woildnt you be in dynasty mode 1st of all! And its almost in impossible to start over bc of trades made based on date it happened and also some teams made trades based on where they were standings wise, so its basically go back to game 30 and undue everything weve spent time on and i dont know if im on board with that. This league has lost a lot of activity and now having to redue over half a season basically changes everything. Is everyone on board or are some people going to leave? You're a real negative Nancy. |

Quick sim the season with current rosters maybe?
Should make a poll with our options.
-Sim playoffs to see who would win. Start next season with same overalls, ages, and contracts
-Restart from game 30
-Quick sim whole season, different playoff brackets, different stat totals for players, but we have upgrades and can move to S2
-Total reboot?

The sky isn't falling. 2) You can't sim in dynasty mode because you can only select one team and the computer runs the rest. Trades won't go through because you can only trade for your one team, not trade for all 31 teams. 3) What other options do we have if he can't access anything later than 30 games in? It's either start at 30 games, implement trades that happened since then and move forward or start completely over from scratch again or fold the league entirely. Those are unfortunately the only options with a corrupted file that can't be accessed. You know as well as I that machines are not infallible. |

It could work actually if the rosters themselves are saved and havent been corrupted too. You just sim out the playoff bracket with current rosters in playoff mode and start out a season with the current rosters. We do fortunately have the screen caps of the league leaders for the season, so awards are fairly straight forward, and the final season standings are up too, so the draft isn't compromised either. As for the prospects, that's not that difficult either, really... They just won't get performance upgrades if they played on the big club, unfortunately. They'd just get a straight up random upgrade other than the top 9 rookies. |

It doesn't hurt their value at all since most of the prospect upgrades here are at random, based on player types; similar to the 'dynamic overalls' for FAs over at hockleague. So it doesn't hurt their values at all. If you're worried about the ones that did play that we don't have the stats for or ones that are on their last season of eligibility, just add an extra +2 or +1 to their random upgrade, and it's as easy as that, but it still doesn't devalue them at all either way. |

I didnt know u had to be in season mode which is fine but im not down with restarting honestly, and i just dont want to move to season 2 while just simming another season 1 that will completely negate the time i and everyone of you put in so far

The only real fair way to me is to go back to game 30 which is around dec 10th in sims which was around jan 8th irl and undo all the trades and signings after jan 8th and go from their

We'd be waiting a week or 2 at least if he did that. That's not a good idea. |

Well you guys figure it out but if its a restart im probably out, theirs only 15 people or so in the league, we havent had any new people for a while and now this. I understand crap happens but hell this could happen again down the road as well and thats just to much time to put into a league for nothing!!!!

That's unfortunately how these leagues have worked for a number of years now, in terms of GM numbers anyways. In the heyday, there were waiting lists for a single team. That being said, I don't see us having to restart from the beginning with the tools & information we do have. Folks are just going to have to suck it up a little bit in terms of some prospect upgrades, unless GMs want to go through the boxscores themselves and obtain certain prospect stats that eligibility or are in their last season of eligibility and we just give them an auto +1 or +2, on top of their random upgrade, so that we can move forward. There's just no reason for this negative Nelly BS when we do have plenty of options. |

Upgrades are based off whatever wings thinks. Only way it can be done without a total reboot etc |
