Not fond of it from the Islanders perspective at all. Rebuilding or not, there's no purpose here for them to pull the trigger to send their starter to Shittsburgh to be a back up for Murray, especially when their divisional rivals and Lehner's not old.
Rejected.

Like this nyi are not trying to win, they get desmith who can play goalie, a young upcoming defenseman, and a draft pick for a goalie that by the time their ready to be good in 2 to 3 years will be 30. Plus he needs a new contract at the end of the year, why would they pay him now to help them win lol wtf to this being rejectable this is the exact type of deal they should be lookin 4

The idea isn't to just stripmine these teams of all their good players for peanuts. We still have to keep these teams interesting and fun, or else no one will ever select them. Period. It's called protecting the league, not ruining it.

In the game, he's their starter by virtue of being a higher overall than Greiss, and most of these non-GM deals have been just GM'd teams sending spare parts for upgrades and ripping off the non-GM teams. That's great for you, but not good for the league at all.
