I think we should get rid of all pre-signed NMCs. All it does it inhabit trading. We didn't agree to any of these clauses and it just makes a lot of teams stuck. Plus the majority are being waived anyways.
It'll mean more for NMC that are actually handed out by the GM. 3rd/4th liners having them only hurts trades right now.

I am against removing these. Every gm new to his team will have to deal with these. There is no way the NHL would say " Well since you didn't sign it we'll just forget it." The gm knew what he was getting when he signed up. If he didn't know, he didn't do his job.

I don't care about the old ones. But if we do that then we play it hard the rest of the way for the guys that like to negotiate a NTC, NMC on every single contract.
